Workshop Supervisor

Responsibilities:

Manage a production area to achieve plant and business objectives.
To motivate and give direction to a small team developing and maintaining
quality-based production, whilst monitoring individual, team and machine performance.
Supervising all aspects of production and providing additional resource whenever necessary.
To control the flow of work to meet customer deadlines; from plan, checking
and managing the product specification, making adjustment and keeping clients informed,
to overseeing the work of staff, taking responsibility for the finished product
by monitoring and maintaining quality.
Liaising with customers to discuss changes to specifications and troubleshooting
potential problems and providing solutions in advance.
Allocating work to, and overseeing the work of the production team.
To ensure all production equipment is maintained and serviced appropriately.
To provide supportive management to coach, develop and motivate their team.
Assigns employees to jobs based on skill required of the job and manages progress
related to quality, efficiency, and on-time completion.
Organizes work areas in a neat and orderly fashion to obtain maximum
efficiency and productivity.
Work with all inter-related departments to resolve design, material, and other problems
through completion of assigned projects.
Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to
increase efficiency of workshop, department or work crews.

Requirement:

Preferably 5 years experience in metal machining industry.
Able to read and interpret drawings.
Degree/Diploma in Mechanical /Manufacturing Engineering field.
Must be bi-lingual (English and Mandarin).
Some knowledge of CNC & CAD programming, fabricating, welding and assembly is a plus.
